Be a Private Pilot
Requirements:
- Be at least 17 years of age.
- 16 years old to become a student pilot
- Be able to read, speak, write and understand English language.
- Meet minimum flight training and testing requirements.
- (FAR 61)
What you need to start full flight lessons
- Proof of US citizenship or get TSA approval.
- Buy a logbook.
- Aviation medical Exam
- Miscellaneous required supplies.
Your instructor will then guide you to apply for a student pilot certificate.

- Aircraft rental 40 hours (minimum) @ $110/hr. $4,400
- Instructor (Dual Time) 20 hours (minimum) @ $40/hr. $ 800
- Supplies $ 600
- Other (including testing) $ 600
