Mount Carmel Senior Citizens opened to serve as a gathering place for Mount Carmel and Wabash county senior citizens. Senior residents gather at the center on a regular basis for coffee, meals, entertainment, and a variety of other activities. The center serves lunch every day from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. The center is located at 115 East 3^rd Street in the historic down town district area. For information on joining the center, contact the center , at (618) 262-7403.

The many activities at the Center include lunch served Daily prepared by volunteers. There are movies and popcorn on Wednesdays, potluck and bingo once a month on a Friday, and singing and country music on Tuesday and Friday. An organization devoted to treasure hunting meets once a month. On Monday, the gentlemen meet for coffee in the morning and in the afternoon an art class meets. On Thursday the MAGI (Mature Adults Getting Involved) meet with singing, Bible study, potluck lunch, and table games. All the above activities are open to all seniors, 50 and over, and you are invited to join us.
