  Mount Carmel has a full time (24 HOUR) Station maintained with 4 full time firemen. In addition there are 18 Paid on call Fireman.
   
   Fire Equipment: 1 Ladder truck, 3 Pumper Trucks, 1 Tank Truck, Fire Rescue Equipped Van,  and 1 Brush Fire Truck
  Fire Protection Rating: The city has been rated a Fire Protection Classification of 5 by the Illinois Inspection and Rating Bureau.
